Fiji Rice ( formerly known as Rewa Rice) was established to support the farmers after the closure of the Colonial Sugar Refinery as the climatic conditions in the central division were not suitable for sugar cane planting. Rice was introduced as an alternative crop and provided employment to the farmers.
Over the years Fiji Rice has been operating in a socially responsible way. Our mission is to help reduce Fiji’s Rice import and to uplift people’s lives. We are always working towards increasing the yield of our farmers by adopting technological change and also helping the rural communities in generating a livelihood and play a big part in rice production.
Fiji Rice is dedicated to giving back to the rice farmers through various community engagement programs.
